Linear Profiling Information Day

During the information day, trained inspectors will explain:

• What linear profiling is and how it benefits breeders and owners.
• How horses are assessed during the profiling process.
• The traits evaluated in Irish Sport Horses, Irish Draughts, and Irish Cobs.
• How profiling information can be used to make informed breeding decisions.
• How to correctly prepare and present a horse for the loose assessment section of an inspection, including practical guidance and demonstrations to help exhibitors present their horses safely and effectively.
• The event will combine presentations with live demonstrations, giving attendees the opportunity to see the assessment process in action and ask questions directly to the HSI inspection and breeding team.

Please note: This training day is supplied as an information day and does not constitute training as a studbook inspector. 

Important

Candidates are expected to have a basic level of fitness; i.e. be able to be on your feet for a long period of time, and be able to move around an arena comfortably.

Please wear comfortable footwear for moving/being on your feet. Please dress appropriately for being outdoors.

If you are unfit or have any health issues that may prevent you from being able to complete this training please do not attend.
